In Memoriam

February 6th 1934 – November 5th 2017

In 1952, Becker, then 18, became Britain’s youngest ever Davis Cup player and would go on to be part of a strong British team of the mid-Fifties. He was one of the few British players of his era to join the fledgling professional circuit. His record as Britain’s youngest player stood until March 2005, when the 17-year-old Andrew Murray made his Davis Cup debut.
